Join the Susitna River Coalition and Denali National Park and Preserve for our annual Talkeetna Trail Days 2025—a community-powered trail and riverfront clean-up in celebration of Wild Salmon Day and the wild places that sustain them.
In this annual clean-up, neighbors and visitors come together to care for the trails and riverbanks that make Talkeetna so special. This year’s event takes place on Sunday, August 10th, as part of a full weekend of salmon-centered events, including films, food, and more.
What to Expect:
We’ll focus our efforts on cleaning up the Talkeetna Riverfront and stretches of the Chase Trail, with tools and safety gear provided by the National Park Service. Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or just want to lend a hand, this is a fun and meaningful way to connect with the land and the community.
Meet-Up Location:
In front of the Walter Harper Talkeetna Ranger Station
2241 S. B Street | Talkeetna, Alaska
Parking available at the station
Bring:
Water, snacks, and lunch
Sturdy shoes or hiking boots
Clothes for the weather
All volunteers will receive a thank-you gift.
Families welcome—children must be accompanied by an adult.
Let’s show some love to the trails, rivers, and salmon that connect us all. We can’t wait to see you there!
