DESCRIPTION:Brooks Wheelan recently came to Alaska to film what the New York Times declared\, “One of the three best specials of 2024.” He’s back with a new hour\, and if you don’t know Brooks\, you probably have heard of some of the things he’s been part of during his career: He’s been a cast member on Saturday Night live\, appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Myers\, AP Bio\, HBO’s Girls\, Comedy Central’s The Half Hour\, @Midnight\, Adam Devine’s House Party\, MTV’s Ridiculousness\, TBS’ CONAN\, Netflix’s I Think You Should Leave. His debut album This Is Cool\, Right?\, which hit #1 on the iTunes charts and was included on PASTE Magazine’s 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2015 list. Rolling Stone named Brooks as one the Top Acts of Bonnaroo 2014. In 2012 he hit the comedy scene in stride when he was invited to perform at the New York Comedy Festival as a part of Comedy Central’s Top 10 Comics to Watch\, and was a breakout performer as a new face at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Other festival appearances include SXSW\, Sasquatch\, Austin’s Moontower Comedy Festival\, Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival\, Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival. Brooks currently lives in Los Angeles.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. \n4 – 6 year olds will meet from 10:00am – 11:00am and must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult for the entire hour.

Rocco returns to Talkeetna to once again share his love of music and art with the Northern Susitna Valley. This is an opportunity for anyone who loves playing music. Whether you are paper trained or don’t read music at all\, you will learn to listen\, respond\, and gel with your fellow jazz orchestra players and the result will be a bigger and better musical toolbox for you to take into the future. \nIf you have questions about the workshop you can call or text Sandy at 907-355-3052 and get answers.

SUMMARY:NEW! Green Light Circus Cyr Wheel Class for Adults and Youth
DESCRIPTION:A cyr wheel workshop teaches participants how to spin\, roll\, and manipulate a cyr wheel\, a ring-shaped piece of equipment used in circus acrobatics. New to the Green Light Circus line-up in 2025\, we are offering a Cyr Wheel class! Taught by Gabriel Alvarez\, who you may recognize from his trip to Alaska with 360 AllStars\, this evening class will be open to adults and youth (12 years and older) who are between 5’1″ and 6’1″. The cyr wheel is a ring made of aluminum or steel that’s specific to the performer’s size\, which is why there are height requirements for the class. This class will be held Monday – Thursday evenings\, from 6:00-7:30pm\, June 23 – July 10. Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable\, athletic clothing.
