Sunshine Community Health Center encourages families to schedule Well Child Checks and Sports Physicals throughout August. \n🎁 Be one of the first 20 patients seen for these services at either clinic location and receive a FREE Sunshine CHC puzzle at checkout! It’s our way of saying thank you—and giving your family a screen-free activity as the days get darker. \n🩺 What’s the Difference?\nWell Child Check (WCC)A WCC is a comprehensive health visit that focuses on your child’s overall well-being and development. It includes: \nGrowth and development monitoring (height\, weight\, BMI\, milestones) \nFull physical exam \nVision and hearing screening (age appropriate) \nImmunizations \nBehavioral and mental health screening \nNutrition\, sleep\, and safety guidance \nA chance for parents to ask questions about development\, school readiness\, and more \nSports Physical (Pre-Participation Physical Exam)A Sports Physical focuses specifically on your child’s ability to safely participate in athletic activities. It includes: \nReview of personal and family medical history \nHeart and lung exam \nJoint and muscle function checks \nScreen for conditions that may increase sports injury risk \nClearance form for school or sports leagues \n⚠️ These are not the same exam! A Sports Physical is more limited and does not replace a Well Child Check. Thanks to our expansion project\, we now have more space for vendors and activities at our Talkeetna Clinic—so get ready for our biggest event yet! \n📅 Date: August 9th \n⏰ Time: 10 AM – 3 PM \n📍 Location: 34300 South Talkeetna Spur Road\, Talkeetna\, Alaska \n🎉 What to Expect:\n🎶 Live Music \n🍔 Food Trucks \n🛍️ Vendors & Exhibitors \n🏥 Health Resources & Free Screenings \n🎈 Bouncy Houses & Kids Activities \n🎒 Free Back-to-School Supplies \n💇‍♀️ Free Haircuts \n🩸 Blood Drive \n🎤 Silent Auction \n🎨 Face Painting… and so much more! \n📢 Call for Vendors & Exhibitors\nVendor spaces are 10×10 canopy tent areas. If you require extra space for a truck\, bus\, or larger tent\, let us know ASAP! Generators are allowed for food trucks and buses\, but we’ll aim to keep them minimal to enjoy the live music. \n🚫 Please note: The sale or promotion of alcohol or marijuana will not be accepted at this event. \nIn the spirit of serving the underserved\, all vendors selling a product must provide a discount on their services.
